Inside Operations at IDS: Meet Seamus Griffin

A trusted partner in architectural manufacturing

The passion and expertise behind everything we do at IDS

Behind every IDS door is a team that has spent years perfecting how each project is planned, manufactured and delivered. In our latest video, we sit down with Seamus Griffin, Operations Manager at Irish Door Systems, for an inside look at what makes IDS a trusted partner for architects, contractors and end clients.

From bespoke steel and Crittall-style doors to large-scale automatic and industrial systems, every order moves through the same exacting operational standards, and Seamus is the person making sure those standards hold from quote through to handover.

Why operations matters in bespoke manufacturing

Architectural door systems are rarely off-the-shelf. Most projects are a mix of bespoke sizing, certified fire ratings, specific finishes, automation packages and tight programme dates. Without strong operations behind the design, even the best specification can fall down at delivery.

Our operations function exists to remove that risk. It is the connection point between design, manufacturing, quality control and installation, and it is what allows IDS to commit to projects with confidence and stand over what we ship.
