We are seeking an Automatic Door Service Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, and maintaining a wide range of automatic door systems, ensuring that every solution meets the highest standards of safety, compliance, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, service, maintain, and repair automatic doors, access systems, and associated equipment.
- Diagnose faults and carry out effective solutions with minimum downtime for clients.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance in line with compliance requirements.
- Provide technical support and advice to clients, ensuring solutions are safe, reliable, and future-ready.
- Complete all service reports, documentation, and compliance records accurately and on time.
- Uphold IDS’s commitment to quality, safety, and integrity on every project.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in servicing and maintaining automatic door systems (e.g., sliding, swing, revolving).
- Knowledge of relevant compliance standards (BS EN16005 or equivalent).
- Electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
